Dance and yoga has been a form of expression and freedom for me for most of my life. I discovered pole dance in 2000 and quickly became one of the UK's first pole dance instructors, breaking boundaries while pushing this empowering – but misunderstood - dance style into mainstream gyms, such as David Lloyd, LA Fitness and Virgin.
In 2005 I co-founded London Dance Academy Studios, then created Dance Party London and in 2022 launched my own personal self-care method, Universal Movement
I have dedicated my professional life to building women's confidence and self-esteem, working alongside brands such as Stella McCartney, Adidas, Nike and Samsung.
Being a pole instructor and experience organiser is where my journey began and even after all these years I still love organising event and party planning. It’s a real joy to be involved in the excitement of your special occasion while introducing you to this fabulous world of sensual movement, teaching you the tricks of the trade and helping you bond with your crew. I wish you magical moments and fond forever memories with us here at Dance Party London.
Love & gratitude,
Alexe 🔮💜
Anouska began her health and fitness journey in 2007 when she began studying the martial art of Wing Chun as well as training in MMA. In 2011, she became a Personal Trainer specialising in functional fitness and a martial arts student instructor. In 2016, she began pole dancing and soon became obsessed, finding that pole gave her confidence, love and respect for her body. She wants nothing more than for others to share the same experience. In 2018, she began teaching pole in London Dance Academy as well as lap dance, floorwork and twerk. She believes that learning to dance takes you on a journey to discover how strong, creative, sexy, flexible and confident you can become.
Falling in love with the power of pole before ever stepping foot into a class, Nofisa began her pole dance journey in the USA, performing for the first time in New York City. Her motto is to be yourself 'unapologetically'! As a confidence coach, Nofisa fuses belief work with sensual dance, to ensure clients not only leave feeling confident and sexy, but also empowered. What brings Nofisa the most joy is witnessing how pole dance supports an individual to unleash a power within - which they may have been unaware even existed.
Prior to pole, Miriam trained to a high level in ballet, jazz and commercial dance as a teenager. Always looking for a new challenge, she was part of a National Championships winning cheer team at university and even has experience teaching children’s ballet and trampolining. Miriam began her pole journey at London Dance Academy after growing tired of the intensely competitive dance classes and cheer team environments, and the boredom of long distance running. She found that pole completely reformed her body image and helped hugely with her anxiety and insomnia that she’d been struggling with for years. Teaching was the next natural step, and Miriam became an Xpert Pole Fitness qualified instructor in 2020. She has so enjoyed watching the progress of her beginner students to date, and still can’t believe she gets paid to lark around in 8 inch heels!
AKA Miss Twerkology, Chanelle launched her entertainment company Twerkology Nation in 2016, which achieved rapid popularity through her class at London Dance Academy. Twerkology naturally gravitates towards female empowerment, as many clients learn to embrace their body and grow their self-esteem through dance. Chanelle aims to maintain the fundamental roots of its origin through her Afro-Caribbean heritage, understanding the importance of remembering the history, roots and culture of twerk. Before the dance became heavily sexualised in the western media, it celebrated womanhood and fertility. “When I dance my ancestors move through my bones, I ascend... it's spiritual, it's healing," Chanelle says. Twerkology Nation aims to support women who have faced sexual abuse, domestic violence and mental health issues as a safe haven for them to express themselves and regain their confidence, although some men do come to the class to find their own healing.

Kerry first tried an AntiGravity Yoga class back in 2016 and “fell hook, line and hammock in love with it!” She loves that, even as a beginner, it’s possible to safely execute inversions, flips and tricks. It has helped her to improve her flexibility and strengthen her core and upper body. Eventually, she quit her corporate career to pursue teaching full time, and excels at helping students overcome their doubts and achieve things that at first seemed impossible. Kerry likes to keep her classes fun-filled yet challenging, with a focus on good technique so that you can benefit from AntiGravity Yoga’s full body fitness effects. You’ll leave her class feeling lighter and brighter, with a smile on your face.
